Privacy notice

This site is here to tell you about Foyboat Ltd and to let you get in touch. There's no analytics or advertising tracking, and we only collect what you choose to send us.

Who we are

Foyboat Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. We're registered in England and Wales, company no. 17521047, with our registered office at Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE. For anything about your personal information, email [email protected].

Our registration number with the Information Commissioner's Office is ZC277787.

Visiting the site

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't set any cookies of our own. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical details every website receives, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use them to read and reply to you, and to follow up on what you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

Before a message is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it comes from a person rather than an automated program. To do that it looks at information about your browser and connection. It doesn't set any cookies or store anything in your browser.

Cloudflare also uses this information, as a controller in its own right, to improve Turnstile. Its Turnstile privacy addendum explains how.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of providers to run the site and our email. They act on our instructions and may only use your information to provide their service to us, apart from Cloudflare's use of Turnstile information described above.

  • Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the contact form and provides Turnstile.
  • Postmark, run by ActiveCampaign, delivers form messages to our inbox.
  • Google Workspace holds our email, including your message and our replies.

All three are based in the United States. Each is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK recognises as protecting your information to UK standards when it's transferred there.

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and our replies for 12 months after our conversation ends, then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer to deal with a continuing conversation or a legal claim.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, where we're registered as ZC277787, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this notice and the date below.
